That dam bonnet

So I last left you all with a picture of a once primed bonnet that had massive amounts of hours spent trying to get it smooth and with the correct curves, which was proving to be a massive pain in the ass. Well, with the sanding technique found again (at last) progress has moved forward and it has been re primed.
Then I could see the dreaded air bubble holes in the filler, so had a dam good go at them. Still not quite happy with the flatness of it all, I found I had already saw this problem coming and had previously bought some filler primer. So I put a generous amount of that on ...... over a week later I finally had some time to knock it back with the block again. Oh hello cheeky little air bubble holes, again! I do have quite a lot of lights in there, but a small hole is a small hole, so be gone. The fine filler was out again
So a nice stint of fine filler and sanding, it might just be getting there ? I have just come inside to update this and possibly get back out there later tonight when it has thoroughly dried. That is as long as me leaving the heater on for hours this evening doesn't set fire to something !! Still it is bloody cold out and I need to keep the temp up out there if there is to be a chance of a last cheeky coat of primer tonight before the garage is switched off for the day.
So this recent "progress" has been reported back to my friend and the offer of his work shop over Christmas is back again, so you never know, if I some how manage to keep up this moving forward business it might actually make it this year for the spray job. I am not holding my breath, but there is at least a chance.
Well that's all for now.
